Protection of the Red-breasted Goose in its Wintering Grounds Durankulak and Shabla, Bulgaria

Objective:
Tracking of subsequent movements to provide important information about migration routes and stopover sites of this globally endangered species.

Background/Content:
The Shabla and Durankulak coastal lakes, close to the Rumanian border, form the most important winter habitats (together with the Rumanian Black Sea coast) for the globally threatened Red-breasted goose.
